In the Discord, the Parthenon bot manages multiplayer games. The first game that we've released for Parthenon is trivia!
24/7 MULTIPLE CHOICE TRIVIA
Multiple choice trivia is technically the fastest way for players to gain Research Points in the Discord. Players can jump into the #trivia-zone channel (under the Parthenon section) to play multiple choice trivia 24/7.
HOW TO PLAY
The bot will post a new trivia questions every 15 seconds.
Players have 10 seconds to provide a multiple choice answer (A, B, C, D). Answer by entering your choice in the chat.
Upon successfully answering a question, players will gain research points, plus additional research point bonuses if they were one of the first three people to answer the question correctly (with 1st place getting the most bonus points, and 3rd place getting the least bonus points).
While point balancing can fluctuate, as of October 2021, a correct trivia answer will net you 500 research points, plus up to 300 additional bonus points for answering correctly first! That’s almost 40 times more research than a player can gain by researching in the same amount of time!
COMMANDS
Run the following commands in the #trivia-zone channel in our Discord. Parthenon uses ! command prefixes instead of $ (like the Agora bot).
!request_category - Request a trivia category.
The Parthenon bot will DM you a list of categories.
Request a category by running !request_category followed by the category number in the #trivia-zone channel.
For example, to request the animal trivia category, run !request_category 27.
Your category request will get pushed onto the back of the category request queue. Parthenon will post 10 questions of the category currently at the front of the queue before switching to the next category in the queue (or back to random categories).
